Synopsis

In a small conservative town in Macedonia, Aneta, a rebellious 18-year-old girl, is bullied at school because of her masculine demeanor and her affection for her female friends. In order to buy a new cellphone and repair her family's TV, Anetta decides to participate in a traditionally male-only religious ritual: retrieving a crucifix from the river, in which she must compete with the boys who bully her.
